Ancestry DNA
This is where all the data from
Relative Genetics was migrated when Ancestry.com
took over in 2007. Then you were able to access
the Ancestry.com Y-DNA results for the Lee
DNA Genealogy Project via a public id/password.
But apparently Ancestry.com has since nixed this
feature. So, for the time being, you need to
contact the project coordinator (David
Lee) to gain access. I believe that he has
the ability to create special accounts
(id/password) for Lee researchers without them
having to purchase a DNA test kit.
Prior to
disabling public access, I had a chance to take a quick look at the site's
DNA Comparison Table feature. Unfortunately, it
uses Adobe Flash and behaves sluggishly. Some of
the colors they use make viewing marker values difficult
(black text on a dark blue background for
example). And the
far right column appears to be truncated so the
last marker value can't be read. Hopefully they
will fix a few of these problems in the near future ...
and resume making the results publicly
available.
